In terms of animated films, I have a very deep fondness and admiration for the 2D Disney movies. Having watched them so many times as a kid and after taking a class on animation history and seeing all the hard work and talent that went into making them, it is hard not to be inspired by them. They are wonderfully animated and contain such memorable imagery that I think many animators and artists aspire to create a similar vibe and feel. I also take a lot of inspiration from other types of media as well. For example, I also really enjoyed books by Roald Dahl when I was younger. Reading and experiencing those types of stories that are so strange and imaginative really had a huge impact on my art style as it has always inspired me to try and create something similar with my work.

I have always loved creating artwork, drawing, painting, etc. When it came time to choose a career path, I was not entirely sure what to do with this skill. Eventually, after lots of research and decision making, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to learn animation as a possible career. Despite this though, my background stems from manly the fines arts, and I am relatively new at digital artwork. As such, I take a lot of inspiration from more studio driven artists as well. Salvador Dali being one of my favorites as he too evokes that strange surrealist concept that I love so much in other types of work.
