As of right now, for animation, I usually use programs from the Adobe Suite. Right now I have been doing a lot of work using the animation feature in Photoshop, however I don’t know if I’d recommmend using it as it is a program that is not necessarily built for such a purpose. From there, I usually render out a video as a PNG sequence and take it into After Effects for editing. After Effects is what I use to compile all my animated sequences together that I created in Photoshop. I can also add effects, and adjust some aspects of the animation within the program as well. I can also do a bit of 3D animation work as well. For this I use the program Cinema 4D where I have experience modeling and animating, although I personally prefer modeling over the former. Overall, I like 2D more than 3D as I prefer the esthetic of it and I find it a bit easier as working in 3D is rather challenging and takes a lot of hardwork and talent.

I use pretty basic equipment when it comes to animating. I have a Wacom tablet that I use for digital drawing and animating. The one I currently own is there cheapest and most basic tablets, however I would definitely recommend it has it has always been reliable and efficient. Mine is about five or so years old at this point and it still works completely fine. The product even came with an extra pen tip for the stylus which I have not even had to switch out yet, so I highly recommend Wacom products. Also do not be afraid to choose the cheaper options for tablets. While they may not have as many of the fancy features that the more expensive models have, I am a firm believer that art is a reflection of the artist and not the tool. Your artwork will still shine through no matter what tool you choose to use.
